The new cart is much more flexible and allows for advanced shipping options.  On the new site registration isn't required, (which is one thing I've always detested about the cart on this site, yay!)

The new site will also automatically combine our eBay auctions with website items for those of you who shop with us at both places.

**Just a quick note regarding shipping costs:

Many of the new rusty tin items which were recently added are quite heavy in relation to their smaller size.  With the new USPS rates that went into effect during the spring of 2007, it often makes sense economically to make use of the flat-rate envelopes and boxes when possible.

The shopping cart on this site is based on the weight of the item.  It can't determine if an item can fit into a flat-rate envelope or if an order can fit into a flat-rate box.  It's not our intent to make a profit on handling -- in addition to the actual rate charged by the US Postal Service, the set handling rate (which is in reality is our packaging cost) is .72.  If there is a way to ship your items to save you $, please know that we'll utilize it.

So there are a couple of ways to make sure this happens.  If you are ordering multiple items sometimes the best method is to order by telephone at 412-487-7411.  If you complete your order online and we find a more economical method to ship, we'll let you know and issue a refund to your credit card account.  No worries, we're stingy when it comes to s/h fees.  :)

The USPS has also added additional fees for shipments over a cubic foot to zones 5 through 8.  In many cases, we can save on shipping costs into these areas by using FedEx ground.  If your preference is FedEx ground, email us or give us a call and we'll be happy to quote the rates.
